Hi everyone!
I am new to this tribe, so forgive me if I seem a bit out of date here. The keirsey personality tests interest me greatly, as I feel that it does match my personality. But there is one thing I like to clear up, I find that INTJ's are good initiators, visionaries but are not good executors. Its the execution that causes the problem for most people, especially me. Does this fit your personality? If it does, have you found a way to combat this? Please do share, as I would love to hear your strategies in tackling challenges and projects...

Re: New to this - want to clear up something
Sun, February 29, 2004 - 2:08 PMI thought it was INTP that were poor executors, since they tend to wander from project to project and rarely finish on time. -

Re: New to this - want to clear up something
Sun, February 29, 2004 - 6:56 PMI think INTJ are not very interested in the boring details of execution; rather, their interest is in the underlying concepts and the overall big picture.

Re: New to this - want to clear up something
Wed, May 26, 2004 - 12:10 PMMy big failing here is that if I encounter roadblocks or delays I'm more inclined to walk away in disgust than "waste" my energy dealing with something other than the actual project. I really have low tolerance for that.

Re: New to this - want to clear up something
Tue, July 6, 2004 - 3:58 PMNods. I'm more interested in the 'big picture,' the strategizing, creation and design of something, not at all interested in something at the maintenance stages. I enjoy aligning all of the details and making a cohesive structure - then once I've made the template, I want someone else to do the menial, tedious stuff.

Re: New to this - want to clear up something
Tue, July 6, 2004 - 4:20 PMSo far everything written in this thread describes myself. The best thing I've found to combat this is to fix in my mind's eye the depressing apocolyptic future should I fail to finish the current project and how much crappier things will be should I drop it rather than the crappiness of dealing with whatever obstacles there are to overcome. Probably a pessimistic viewpoint, but it's tinged with the anticipation of finishing and being successful.
