Sun, July 6, 2008 - 12:26 PMWell, David Keirsey assigned the Rational (Theorist) temperament with the Owl. And when you read up on the traits of owls, it eerily matches the temperament.... to the point of freaky.
He had originally assigned the griffin:

but was pressured to switch to real animals instead of mythical ones.
Guardians (Stabilizers) are assigned the Beaver; Artisans (Improvisers) are assigned the Fox; Idealists (Catalysts) are assigned the Dolphin (and were originally assigned a mythical unicorn).

Sun, July 6, 2008 - 10:07 PMHmmm....what about a snake. Snakes are traditionally associated with wisdom and mystery (many people find INTJs mysterious). Also, snakes are known for being loners.
